| Blue Joint Grass is a perennial,
sod-forming reed grass. The inflorescence is a many-branched panicle and
varies from being narrow and contracted to wide and expanded. The
stems are erect and leafy. It often grows in dense patches due to its strong, creeping rhizomes. |
Blue Joint Grass grows in marshes and prairie swales or in open woods near lakes or streams. |
