Leadplant
Leadplant is an attractive plant with dense lavender florets and silvery green leaves, from which it derives its name.

It is a superior, classy dry prairie plant that is a very strong survivor due to its deep, single or branching taproot.

Leadplant is one of the many prairie legumes.

Leadplant grows in dry to moist prairies and requires full sun

The Leadplant seed closely resembles alfalfa seed, but it is slightly smaller.  Leadplant sprouts can be grown in flats and eaten like alfalfa sprouts; however, alfalfa seed is considerably less expensive than Leadplant seed.
