Whorled Milkweed Whorled Milkweed is a small, attractive member of the asclepias family that often grows in patches. 

The white flowers grow in clusters amidst longish narrow leaves.  The seed pods are smooth and slender, and when dried, make an attractive addition to dried floral arrangements.

Whorled Milkweed grows in dry to mesic prairie and disturbed areas.  It requires full sun.

second year.
