The
Savory Leaf Aster, or the stiff-leaved or bristly aster, looks like a
small evergreen, forming distinct rounded clumps of stiff, deep green
glossy foliage. Each of the numerous flower heads is approximately an inch wide with blue-violet rays and yellow disks. The leaves of the Savory Leaf Aster are small and stiff, tapering to sharp points and will break rather than bend with folded. It makes an attractive cut flower.
