| New England Aster grows in mesic to wet
prairie and requires full sun. The plant is easily propagated from seed and will bloom the second year. It can also be propagated by root division. It is very aggressive and needs competition. Cutting back the plant in late spring or early summer causes the plant to become more compact and bushy rather than leggy. |
