Silky Aster
Silky Aster is a beautiful plant with its silvery colored leaves and rosy blue flowers. 

It is one of the last plants to bloom on the prairie and provides welcome color at the end of the growing season.

Silky Aster grows in dry to mesic prairie and requires full sun.

It can be grown from seed, but germination is not very productive. The plant can best be propagated by division of the root system
