Canada Milk Vetch is another prairie legume with attractive foliage and spikes of small pea-like flowers.

It requires strong competition to prevent spreading.

Flowering Time: Jun - Aug
   

Companion Plants:
Big Bluestem, Flowering Spurge, Roundhead Bush Clover, Needlegrass
Canada Milk Vetch grows in dry to mesic prairie and requires
full sun.

It is easy to propagate from seed; however seed needs scarification for good germination.  The plant will bloom the second season from seed.
