Prairie Smoke

Prairie Smoke grows in dry to mesic prairie and requires full sun.

 Prairie Smoke has rose-colored, feathery blossoms which become more grayish as the seed ripens.

Patches of Prairie Smoke on a prairie tend to look like wisps of smoke, hence the name.

The feathery blossoms can be sprayed with hair spray and used in dried bouquets.
