The oval leaves of the
Sawtooth Sunflower have rounded bases and sharp tips, tapering to short
leaf-stalks. The coarsely toothed edges of the leaf give the plants its
name. Its flowers are typical sunflower yellow about 3 1/2 inches across with 10-20 fairly wide ray florets. |

| Sawtooth Sunflower grows on
moist prairie and other open sites and is less common in dryer sites.
It requires full to partial sun. It is easily propagated from seed. |
