 Sawtooth Sunflower The oval leaves of the Sawtooth Sunflower have rounded bases and sharp tips, tapering to short leaf-stalks. The coarsely toothed edges of the leaf give the plants its name.

Its flowers are typical sunflower yellow about 3 1/2 inches across with 10-20 fairly wide ray florets.

Color: Yellow
Flowering Time: Aug - Sep
   

Companion Plants:
Rough Blazingstar, Thimbleweed

Sawtooth Sunflower grows on moist prairie and other open sites and is less common in dryer sites.  It requires full to partial sun.

It is easily propagated from seed.
