Ox
Eye, or False Sunflower, is a spreading, branched sunflower-like plant
which establishes and spreads quickly. It may become aggressive.
It has several large 2 - 4 inch yellow flowers on stalks originating from the stem tip and upper leaf axils. Its leaves are paired, opposite, coarse, and arrow-shaped. Ox-Eye makes a good cut flower, lasting for a long time.

| Ox-Eye grows on upland to
lowland prairies and sometimes in open woods. It requires full to
partial sun.
It is easily propagated from seed and
division in spring. |
