Turk's Cap Lily
Turk's Cap Lily is often found growing in colonies and is very striking on prairies or in a garden.

The flower heads point downward, but the petals curve back and upward over the flower head. It is quite attractive in fresh bouquets.

Companion Plants:
Big Bluestem, Culver's Root,
Blue Flag Iris, Bottle Gentian, Wild Bergamot
Turk's Cap Lily grows in wet to mesic prairie and requires full sun.

It can be grown from seed with some difficulty.  It is best propagated from bulb scales or root division.
