 False Gromwell, or Marbleseed, has several stems that are rough and hairy, originating from the same root crown.

Its leaves, alternate and tapering at both ends, are hairy, especially across the veins on the top leaf surface.

False Gromwell grows on dry, rocky, or sandy upland prairie and requires full sun.

It is best propagated from seed.
