White Prairie Clover White Prairie Clover is important throughout the prairie range as livestock forage. It is sensitive to overgrazing, however.

White Prairie Clover grows in dry to mesic prairie and requires full sun.

It is easily propagated from scarified seed and will bloom the second year.

FYI image Native American women used the stems of the White Prairie Clover to make crude brooms for sweeping the lodges.  Native Americans also brewed a tea from the leaves and used the raw roots as food.
