| Prairie Rose
grows on wet mesic to dry prairies and roadsides. It requires full to
partial sun. It is best propagated from seed, but it takes times for the plant to establish. It can also be propagated from rood division in late fall or early spring. |

Rose hips, high in Vitamin C, can be eaten raw, stewed, candied or as preserves. Rose petals can be candied, eaten in salads, or used to make wine. |
