Stiff

aggressive and probably should not be planted in small areas. It has large, rather flat blooms and makes a nice display in fresh and dried flower arrangements.

| Stiff Goldenrod grows in dry
to mesic prairie and requires full sun. It is easily propagated from seed and will bloom the second year. It can also be propagated from root division. |
|
Solidago species have a rubbery sap. Thomas Edison hoped to make a rubber substitute from this substance. |
