Prairie Spiderwort grows in mesic to dry prairie and requires full sun. |
Prairie Spiderwort is an attractive native plant whose flowers vary from
pale pink to deep purple or blue. This variation in color may result
either from the acidity or alkalinity of the soil or from minor genetic
differences in the plant itself. The flowers usually close during the heat of the day and reopen before morning. Prairie Spiderwort is an attractive garden plant and transplants well.
